The World Takes the Crown with a 14-3 Crush

In the rubber game, the World redeemed themselves with a 14-3 crush of the New Jersey team, taking the best of 5 series. Coach Zach Manchisi (replacing fired coach Mike Manchisi) was able to effectively manage the 19 player World team, and his flawless substitutions and non birthday based lineup earned him MVP (an unprecedented award for a coach though Zach did come in to pitch the final inning and earn a save as well).

Jersey opened the first inning with a run and  the World only managed one hit in their first time at bat. Led by John Manchisi in the bottom of the second, the World rallied for 6 runs, ironically started with a key error by Connor McNamara, who had trash talked his way through the first week at the beach. The score then increased to 8-1, and could have been more but for a controversial call at the plate on a great throw from Brendan McNamara. The score ultimately rose to 14-1 though Jersey rallied for two runs in the top of the sixth on a monster shot to right field from Kevin Finnegan.

The World team was last seen driving down 35 North to "We Are The Champions".

In a related story Ryan redeemed himself by beating Meagan in the dizzy bat race sequel at the Lakewood Blue Claws game (though if you watch closely you'll notice only 6 1/2 turns for Ryan versus 8 for Meagan.
