Softball - 2001
World takes it to New Jersey Again
Once again, the World team proved to be too tough for the New Jersey team, winning 7-1 for the second straight year. Frank Manchisi pitched a strong game and was an "octopus" on the mound, assisting on most of the game's putouts. Steven Greene was a strong addition to the World team in 2001, both in the field and at the plate, though Ryan McNamara's stab of Manchisi's line drive down the third base line proved to be the defensive play of the game. Kelly McNamara, again playing for the World team, remains the only New Jersey resident to taste victory in what is becoming an annual classic.
